General & Bariatric Surgeon

Dr. Jacobo Zafrani earned his Bachelor’s degree in Panama City, Panama in 1987. He continued his studies in Autonomous University of Central America, Costa Rica and the University of Costa Rica. Having graduated with honors as a General Surgeon, and a specialist in Bariatric procedures. Dr. Zafrani’s experience and training extends throughout Costa Rica and Panama. He has provided his medical services in many Hospitals in both Costa Rica and Panama, including: Hospital Santo Tomas, Panama; Hospital Nicolás A. Solano, Panama; Hospital San Juan de Dios, Costa Rica; Hospital Clinica Biblica, Costa Rica, amongst others.

Dr. Zafrani is proud to be an Member of the Costa Rican Society of Surgeons, as well as the International Society of Surgeons and of the medical group ALACE. Dr. Zafrani also a professor in the University of Costa Rica giving courses for the formation of general surgeons.

Dr. Jacobo Zafrani is fluent in Spanish, English and Hebrew to better assist you through your procedures.
