Renew Tours Process
Relax and anticipate
a great renewal experience.

Fees and Expenses:

The total cost of your renewal experience will be the sum of the medical fees, the recovery fees, the travel expenses and the fees for Renew Tours International. We have found that the grand total for a typical expenditure is less than half of what you would expect to pay in a major U.S. city.

When you call for your initial consultation, we will work with you and the doctors to develop a total budget well in advance of your trip to Costa Rica.

What to Bring and Wear:

  • Think cool. Think Seattle. Bring layers: light jackets, sweaters, long pants, socks, etc. Bring an umbrella.
  • For liposuction, bariatric, and orthopedic patients patients: bring loose clothing. No white shorts/pants or tight jeans.
  • Bring warm night clothes; nights can be chilly.
  • Bring a hat if you burn easily, have a facelift, or just like the look.
  • Bring sunglasses or cover up for the flight home. You won't need makeup for a little while if you have a facial surgery..
  • Bring new makeup and new applicators for the trip home. Leave the old germy stuff at home.
  • Bring creature comforts: a favorite robe, hot water bottle, snacks, DVD,etc. It's amazing how little things make a big difference.

Checklist and Guide to Schedule Your Surgery:

  • You will need a passport to travel to Costa Rica. If you have one, make sure it's current, with at least six (6) months left.. You don't need a visa if you are coming from the United States. Please check your country's requirements if you are traveling from a country other than the United States.
  • Decide on a date for your surgery (check our tour schedule) and contact us for availability. Please make travel arrangements.

AFTER surgery availability is confirmed:

  • Accompanied travel may be available. Please contact us for information for escorted group travel.
  • Please make travel arrangements only AFTER surgery availability is confirmed. We can help make travel arrangements, or you may check on flight availability on your own. Please schedule a morning flight if possible with arrival as early as possible, and consider arriving a day early, especially if you decide to do your physical and blood work in Costa Rica.
  • Decide whether to have your pre-op physical at home or at the hospital upon arrival. Test results need to be within three months of surgery..
  • Notify us of your travel arrangements after we confirm surgery date availability.
  • The medical specialist will need digital photos of you, front and side (close-ups of proposed surgery areas). Please send pictures to lh@renewtours.com and we will forward them to the doctor.
  • Please include your name, what you'd like done, and any questions you may have along with your photos, especially if you're not sure what needs done, or even IF something needs done.
  • The medical specialist will evaluate your photos and quote his surgery fee without obligation.
  • Fill out the health questionnaire provided for you and we will forward it on.
  • We will make recovery center arrangements for you as soon as the surgery date is confirmed by the doctor's office and travel arrangements are made.
  • Please keep us informed about your travel plans since we will need to confirm ongoing availability of space in the recovery center.
  • Please make travel arrangements AFTER surgery availability is confirmed.
